Rewire Your Brain for Health and Wellness

We have all heard about the three strategic areas of individual balance: proper sleep, proper nutrition and proper exercise. These areas are barometers of our health and wellness. They relate directly to how we are dealing with our family, work and creativity. If we are feeling off kilter, we do not have the power within us to conceive, believe, and achieve balance in our lives. The question is “How do I find the right balance in these areas for me?”
An effective way to achieve health and wellness is to rewire your brain. Two great tools to assist you in your rewiring job are self hypnosis and visual imagery. They can help program your mind to think differently and to reframe your thoughts in positive and creative ways. Give yourself a pep talk and then use your imagination to get your mind wires straight by trying the following:
- Relax and focus on your breathing.
- Imagine that you have shrunk yourself to a miniature repair person, small enough to enter your body and travel to your brain.
- You go to your brain and see the wires that connect to the areas of sleep, nutrition and exercise.
- You then adjust and change all the wires, so that they provide maximum health and wellness.
- When properly rewired and completed, you promptly exit your brain and return to your original size and starting point.
- Mission accomplished.
In this visual imagery process, you have conceived, believed and achieved. Now enjoy the new feelings of improved overall well-being.
